Great performance by the Mixed bag, Ron Brooks on bass, Gaff Dunsun aka Eddie Russ on keyboards, Jerry Glassel on guitar, Larry Nozero on reed, flute, Dave Kother on percussion, Dan spencer on drums. Plenty of great tracks, check the soundclip!!
The record has just superficial marks, no scuff. There is some light tics and background noises on the soundclip because my stylus was in bad condition, i have change it, this copy plays excellent!!!
The cover shows light wear on the edges and corners, in solid shape.

Incredible 80's spiritual jazz lp on the legendary Nimbus label pressed in 1983. This record is deep and intense with some superb themes. A great combination which gives a powerful afrocentric influenced modal jazz masterpiece!!! Nate Morgan is helped for this album by Dadisi Komolafe on alto sax, Jeff Littleton on bass and Fritz Wise on drums. I found only two little superficial paper marks, this lp is in near perfect condition. The cover is in beautiful condition too, just a minimal wear on the corners. Highly in demand nowadays and very hard to find in this condition!!!

This copy shows some light paper and hairline marks but they don't affect the sound, it plays excellent!! The cover has one little tear on the down right corner, some minor wears on the others corners, a solid copy.

Superb spiritual jazz session offered by Hal Singer featuring Siegfried Kessler, Art Taylor, Jacques Bolognesi, Jean-Claude André, Patrice Caratini and Alain Charlety.
Listen to the fantastic deep modal jazz track "For Stephanie" including a nice flute work by S. Kessler. You can also hear the jazz funk track "Du Bois", in the more spiritual jazz way "Malcom X", and the groovy "It's My Thing".
I grade this lp VG+ because there is a little scuff during the intro of the track, "Malcom X", otherwise this copy is shiny and plays excellent!!!
The cover shows a laminate wear on the front.

Philip Ranelin & Wendell Harrison - A Message From The Tribe SOLD

"A message from the tribe" is now an all time classic spiritual jazz lp. This is one of the first release on their own label from 1973. The album is consistent from the beginning to the end. It contains the "modal coltrane-like" improvisations oriented in the sonic detroit jazz funk style tracks, "Beneficient" and "how do we end all of this madness", the policized message "What we need" and "Angela's Dilemma" sung by Jeamel Lee and more in the deep afrocentric avant garde way, "Wife" and "Merciful".
The record shows some light marks but plays fine with some occasional light clicks. The cover has a seam split (9cm) on one corner, a light ring wear on the front and back cover, and a light moisture wear at the bottom of the back cover.
I sell the original 1st press, now hugely in demand and very hard to catch....

Some records are unclassifiable, impossible to put them in a categorie, this german project from 1969 under the direction of Wolfgang Dauner is one of those mutant sounds!!! But this strange lp is also very creative, from modern jazz, sonic diy to trippy jazz funk, this concept lp is rich by the diverse sound palette it offers. Listen to the psych jazz funk track called "beat" with some weird sound experimentations and the modern jazz "Pamukale"!!!
The record is in superb shape, looks shiny with only some superficial marks. There is one sticker on one label, light wear on two corners and the back cover, and two stickers on the front cover.
